NORA INTERVIEW

Ed Martin for Prophecy21.com: What are some of your inspirations/ influences?
Carl Severson lead singer for Nora: It changed a little. Hardcore, Black Flag, stuff like that. Heavy music.

P21: What was the best tour so far?
CS: I'd say the tour with Converge was the best one so far.

P21: What are some of your most favorite areas or venues to play?
CS: Chicago and Cleveland. And we are lookin forward to California. Canada too, but crossing the border is a pain in the ass. It takes forever and they dig through all of our gear and shit. I guess we like places that start with "c".

P21: Who would you like to tour with?
CS: Lamb of God because they are amazing and great guys! Randy came out to sing Wave Goodbye with me. I'd also like to tour with The Used, Poison the Well, Dillinger Escape Plan, Bad Religion, and of course Slayer.

P21: What are your plans for after this tour?
CS: We are going to Cali with 18 Visions, Everytime I Die, and Hopesfall, then coming back home to write.

P21: How is this tour going?
CS: Fuckin awesome! There is a great response every night. It's been a really good time. We've been gettin here early and running around puttin up posters sayin what time we are playin and shit.

P21: How did you come up with the name "Nora" and is there any meaning?
CS: It's after the chick in Pump Up The Volume. She's really hot and we were just sitting around and we said "we should name our band that" and it worked out pretty well.

P21: How long has Nora been together?
CS: About 4 years.

P21: If you weren't in music, what would you be doing right now?
CS: Web design, I wanted to do the website for my record label (www.ferretstyle.com). I used to do graphic design and print design.

P21: Speaking of your record label, how did you start Ferret Records?
CS: I roadied for Endeavor and they were looking to put out an album so I said "Hell, I'll do it!" and it just took off from there.

P21: What are some of the more successful bands on Ferret?
CS: From Autumn To Ashes, Everytime I Die, Disembodied, Sky Came Falling, The Rise.
